Pensions Policy Actuary

**Must be FIA/Qualified Actuary

This is a unique opportunity to join a business that manages over £30bn in assets and oversees one of the UK’s largest and most complex pension funds. You will work directly with Trustees in managing integrated funding and policy across 100+ distinct sections.

The Role

• Managing actuarial valuations
• Act on the Trustee’s behalf to negotiate and to reach funding agreements.
• Lead actuarial valuations and funding negotiations.
• Advise the Trustee on integrated funding (investment, funding, and covenant).
• Manage day-to-day scheme policy and Trustee delivery
• Ensure best-practice scheme management.

The Individual

• Qualified Actuary (FIA/FFA)
• DB Funding Expertise: Proven experience supporting Trustees under UK DB funding regulations.
• Strategic Outlook: Deep understanding of the differences between open and closed DB schemes and "endgame" transitions.
• Communication: Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and communicate technical findings to employers and the Trustee.
• DC Knowledge: Beneficial but not the focus.

This role is for a technical expert who can work independently while managing a high volume of stakeholders.
