David Rist

David joined the Financial Services business in 1989 as an Adviser. Since then, he has enjoyed Senior Management and Executive positions with companies such as SJP, Fairstone and Inter-Alliance. He co-founded Informed Financial Planning which became the first Chartered Firm in Yorkshire. During his time there as Managing Director he oversaw four acquisitions and one sale.

Over recent years he has been involved in over 20 sales and acquisitions and has first-hand, in-depth knowledge and experience of what has and hasn’t worked in the M&A space. His ability to understand from both the acquirer’s and seller’s perspective is invaluable, including life after the sale, so when BWD created our latest M&A service David was the clear choice to head it up.

Away from work he is a family man with 3 children, enjoys fell running and recovering in the nearest pub.
